I played the two rounds given after the download to get the first Personal Reward. It is a useless bauble, and that is all for this event for me.

Hopefully, there is a host of additional assets added to the weapon in Stage 3. There are some available that would make it awesome.

The rub is that the weapon needs to have enough power to effectively use the perks. The lack of "oomph" has rendered many weapons useless in the past.

Agreed. The Stage 1 weapon has an interesting start on attributes. Regardless, the Stage 3 weapon must have enough power to be effective. That hasn't happened in a while.

I've started a 9-day Commander + Deputy to win the 14* assortment of SMs.

Not much use for these low-level SMs now that 16^ SMs are available. They will have some use to cash in for XP.

An additional factor in some of these anomalies is that once the extra-strong shield is gone, the unshielded goon reacts as if the shield still is present. It has to be a hack of some sort.
