Single stage this time, AR up for grabs but again who knows if it's even worth trying for, upgrades starting quite high, but it seems to be GameLofts intent.
First mission with no upgrades, it's like trying to hit a barn door, with no success.
Turns out I wasn't just old and grumpy - I was right to be pissed right off!

It may be a pain, but I'd recommend not upgrading for a day or two. GL tends to put these events out before they are ready.
Apparently, you already know that since you went the "no upgrade" route on Chapter 1. I haven't tried it yet but will take your word that it is difficult to do without upgrades.
I'm still in the "no upgrade" mode since GL hasn't changed the requirements yet. If they don't do it today (Friday) either it will be done next week or not at all.
Huge requirements would end the event for me except for playing for enjoyment. The weapon doesn't appear to be worth a Deputy or dipping into the Supreme Pack reserves.
Getting gold on the event "spin-the-wheel" is like getting nothing of benefit at all. Gold is easy to come by nowadays and has no relationship to the event.
I think Decker is right with it being a Single Event.
Just like the last one (Grisly Launcher) you will need to complete a minimum of 10 Upgrades and acquire a minimum of 109 Chests, usually around 110 required.
I'm aligned with you on this event. No enthusiasm whatsoever.
Perhaps the upgrade requirements are as they usually are for a single stage, 50% upgraded weapon, event. Those 3-stage events have us spoiled with their easy Stage 1 upgrade numbers.
At any rate, I'm just playing along and maybe the end will prove to be productive...and maybe not. Not really caring.
