Carmine Blizzard 28-09-2023
Another round, single stage, zooming takes you to iron sights, not bad but unfortunately the spread is, it's horrible.
Still to early to know if it will be useful in any way though.

Weapon has lots of perks but unfortunately is sorely lacking in power to use them. One never knows until it is used in the "real virtual world".
Upgrading the scope magnification and stability first seems to help the inaccuracy a bit. Thermal and mag size are not really relevant in the event - maybe afterwards. Shooting at a bare wall really exposes the wild bullet pattern. I have skeet guns that pattern tighter than that.

Only managed 1 upgrade so far, stability, and it made no difference, this is not looking good for later stages as it takes forever to take down just 1 goon!

Yep, it couldn't hit a barn door at 200 paces, the spread is shite, and with no AP it means you have to hit the goons square on for them to die. No 'Spray and Walk Away' this time.
Re: Carmine Blizzard 028-09-2023
There is a logical error in the bullet spread. The spread seems to constrict when zooming in. That is, a spread at zero magnification is visually the same as at 3X so the spread seems to tighten on target. A three foot spread becomes a one foot spread when zoomed.
With a real weapon, zooming should have no effect on the spread at the point of impact - it would remain 3 feet and occupy more scope area when viewed through the scope. So try to upgrade the scope ASAP for better results.
Hope this makes sense. Revised it multiple times to try to make it clear.

Good observation, and makes sense to me, doubt GameLoft will have any clue as to what your talking about though

A more simple test of the theory is to shoot at a wall with low, or no, magnification then again with full magnification. Chapter 1, Mission 3 has just such a wall in the foreground.
My weapon is at 4X magnification. The bullet pattern is better (but still poor) and it is far more effective. Of course, it is a stretch that iron sights have magnification. It is OK, it is just a game and you play the hand that is dealt.
It seems that all weapons have this pattern constriction on magnification trait.

I think this shows GWD's thoughts
Right Grouping, Iron Sight
Middle Grouping, Right Click Zoom
Left Grouping, full Lvl4 Zoom

That's exactly what I'm seeing, full zoom to get best accuracy, hope it settles on more upgrades to best at quick zoom, that's the most used setting for me anyway...

Okay so I don't have it fully upgraded yet but matched with a gear set (Crystal Armour) it struggles and freeze doesn't seem to work properly with shielded SM's.
Bit of a let down again

Just about all Squaddies out there now negate all Effects so trying to find someone that the Weapon is going to have any effect on is near impossible, especially with the Gear Grouping
