Bounty Cascade 3 Stage Event 13th December 2021

So the Christmas event has started, exotic sniper starting as 'Garland' then 'Wreath' then finally Yuletide' 7 days to complete each stage.

Hopefully they will have sorted the stage 2 upgrade requirements, but don't hold your breath...

Weapon seems stable enough, reload is as you would expect for a standard config sniper, but the fact it's taking 2 1/2 mags (1 upgrade on mag already done so 4 rounds per mag) to take down a helio is concerning!

The big pull with this one will be the 12* Sm's, and what the cost will be to upgrade those!!!

The gearset is not too bad and would be a real bonus for those who missed the last 2 'good' sets in these events.

Second upgrade done and helios go down in 4-5 shots, so a bit better but that's with 2 upgrades, both to mag, on chapter 1...

Synergy would be a great addition to the "Elfed Up" set. Otherwise it is simply "F'd Up" with better choices available for long-time players.

Thanks for the time and effort taken to make and post the screenshots.

I have to agree, 'DEADEYE" is a complete waste of time, you get 1 shot at it during an attack and if the weapon is not powerful enough you are a goner.

And level 4 => 5 & 5 => 6 upgrade requirements, seems to be in keeping with previous, still hope they've sorted out the ridiculous stage 2 requirements...

I'm going to withhold judgement of the weapon at the moment, but, as we all know it can easily change by stage 3.

With only 5 more upgrades to go I'm finding scopes to be short on the most, followed by muzzles and then chips.

I ran a Deputy but and am up on Cores and Scopes. The other 3 parts are about even. I'd call it a fair drop so far.

I have used the same strategy as GWD, have the weapon up to Lvl 14 (70%) and will now play out the level, but I also have 3 parts that are a lot lower than the supposed 1 low drop rate part.

Well fully upgraded and still takes 3 shots to take down a helio in chapter 3 & 4, not a great start, lets hope it does get better and be a base killer, especially since 12* SM's are now on the loose...

So chapter 7, helios taking between 2 and 7 (yes 7) shots, WTH!

3 chapters to go and who knows what it will take by chapter 10, again this does not look promising even though it is only stage 1.

Yes, the weapon is pathetic. Because of my poor skills, help is necessary. Barrage or slo-mo from the avatar is often used. Sometimes the timer is down to a few seconds remaining. Good luck on the next chapters.

I think GL has intended the weapon to be this weak so players have to use consumables or pay rubies to progress. Rotten of them, but expected.

I've even had some snipers require two shots. But I agree, the helocopters are clip emptiers.

Chapter 8 completed, and what a smegger it is, 8 shots for a helio 3 for a sniper/RPG and all of those are faster moving than normal, if you need to reload to shot the sniper - your dead! :o

First chapter I've used barrage in but beware, the reload on kill holo doesn't work here so you get one shot at it, and you'll need it in mission 4, as soon as you see the snipers bead/feel the first RPG take them out, as I say they've gotten faster at taking position and shooting. :shock:

I have done a couple of tests and it appears that GL have nerfed the weapon for all helicopter missions. Just did Chap 8 mission 4 and it took three rounds to take out a sniper, next mission, back to normal, one round head shot for all goons. If you use an AP it drops the Helo kill down to 3 shots, I haven't tried SlowMo as you will still have the 7 and 3 shot kill issue.

Chapter 10 done, threw some rubies at it to get the info, mission 1 you WILL need slo-mo's for this helio mission, they move to fast and take up to 9 shots to kill, with snipers taking 3 also just cannot take them out quick enough with reloads being required.

Tried on my base and woeful, took out 1 grey drone and your done, but reload on kill holo appears to work.

So lets just hope the next 2 stages see a vast improvement or we'll all feel like Santa left a lump of coal in our stockings this year.

Additional info, opened a pack and played chapter 1 mission 4 again, helios taking 5 shots, so it would seem the helio missions on levels are hard coded for shots required.

This time just for giggles ands to get info in advance I used two 24 hour deputies to collect parts, still got almost 2 days to go to keep collecting for stage two, and due to the amount of parts I have left if they decide to change the rules this time about carried over parts I can see the stuff really hitting the fan, there will be blood!
