Microsoft BSOD/Crowdstrike System Fail

Post by Decker »

By some way get a bootable CD/DVD/USB and boot to that then navigate to the file C-00000291*.sys in the directory C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike and delete or rename it - the asterisk stands for any character string, as this file can have different names on different systems.

Reboot machine as normal.
Turns out I wasn't just old and grumpy - I was right to be pissed right off!
