Tokyo Nights - 20th September 2021

Post by Decker »

Didn't have to find the exotic to know it was on, video ads goosed again!

Anyway a Cato weapon, woop, Cato SM Infinite with nothing special going on, affinity 'incendiary' seems to be working, haven't tried 'symbiosis' yet (well it's only chapter 1) and again only small upgrades can be done (standard starting at 4 x 5 parts and 1 x 4 parts) so we are unlikely to see any improvement really going up the chapters.

Screenshots below, pretty boring in truth;

Seems like another weapon meant for the Exotic Event only. After the event its use is questionable given the rating. We will see.

With 11* upgrades coming "soon", there should be a weapon in some future event (or sale) to handle all-11* bases.

Or I'm leaning towards forcing players to burn through all consumables pushing towards buying more - the move to full pay to play...

OK, Just done a bit of testing, yes symbiosis does work but only if you kill the target outright, that is, don't let the weapon affinity Incendiary do the job for you

Yeh, makes it a bit pointless putting those two affinities together that way :?

Can also see where the shortfall in parts is going to be this time...

The lack of activity on this event shows just how excited everyone is about it...

Since the weapon is pants the incendiary affinity comes in useful, as you don't need to kill each SM just fire a few rounds into them the burn will do the rest, luckily as it has a tendency to 'wander' when aiming and the spread pattern makes it suitable for barn door practise!

Hey Decker, I have to say that I am going through the motions on this one, the weapon is going to be a dust gatherer but at least it fills in the time.

I know what you mean, it looks like it's an event only weapon, the incendiary makes it a bit useful for the event but as for PvP I don't think it will even do much to a 10* base.

It would be great if the incendiary worked in PVP like it does in the event. Just clip the enemy and it burns up.

Really doubt it is going to be that powerful given the statistical strength.

Sorry, I'm not pushing through to get early stats, it is a POS.
Looking at where the weapon sits in the flow of things, I think you are right irt, it is going to be a dust gatherer.

What I have found is this Event may need only 10 upgrades to secure the weapon and not the 14 that has been the norm lately. I am currently at the end lvl 8 and have only had to do 7 upgrades. I expect an immediate upgrade will be required to start Chap 9 lvl1.

Surprisingly this one did only need 10 upgrades (4-4-4-2) instead of the usual 11 (4-4-4-3), not that it makes much difference, still has a couple of upgrades to do but tried with TB & XXIII Captain & Werewolf White - didn't even start to scratch my own base.

Incendiary didn't seem to work using Werewolf gear which has the correct affinity or possibly it just doesn't make enough of a difference to even show.

I have just tried it at 80% against a single 10* defender (Bogdan) and you can beat him just if he is at one of the corner spots.
It takes 40 seconds to takeout a shielded 11* (Ballpark), and that is with an AP enabled.
This one is going in the cupboard to be used for weapon upgrades only.
Yet another POS for your hard work.
