New 3 stage event starting in Hallowed Eve.

Another assault weapon and this time it starts with seek & destroy ability which may well make it useful.

Lets just see...

Seek and Destroy is indeed a positive trait. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well with the Headshot perk since aiming is not a factor. Anxious to see what is added to the next two weapon levels in the event. That, plus the SMs make this an event worth playing.

Another BIG positive is that the weapon is an R32 so it can be used in regions to replay them. (Unless it is a mistake by GL.) That will be very useful for those players that have not completed all regions (like me!). Assign it to one of the 10 SM slots with a suit of choice and it will come up as equipped on each level.

Interesting, I didn't notice that as you can't normally use exotic event weapons in regions, wonder if that's changing...

Stage 2 and more improvements to the weapons attributes, can it be a suitable weapon for high tier SM's???

It would be nice to have Unlimited Ammo perk at Stage 3 but it is very doubtful. The "detonation on reload" that Stage 2 has negates that possibility.

Perhaps Symbiosis would round out the weapon at Stage 3. Unfortunately, it only has a minor hit boost to an already underpowered weapon. But we really won't know the usefulness until the end of the event. Just like GL planned it.

And onto stage 3, still early on but looks a little promising. The attributes have really stacked up.

EDIT: starting to have second thoughts, when it takes a mag and a half (upgraded) to take out 1 boat...

Great upgrades...especially Symbiosis. The problem is that there is very little power in the weapon even when upgraded. It is way down on my Assault list of weapons. As stated before, it will be great for past Regions / Assault completion. That may be my next goal after the event ends.

Not sure about the required armor suit for Stage 3. I tried it on Chapter 1/Mission 5. It automatically killed the sniper but it is a bit on the useless side. It also killed a drone in Ch 1/Mission 2. Furthermore, it probably has little use in PVP unless it kills those pesky Suppressors, which is doubtful since they don't kill you outright. There are likely other suits that would be more successful.

The problem we have is that the weapon does not lock on to boats, looking at the aim point it appears to be consistantly behind them. Until this is fixed trying to sink 7 boats will be impossible

Hmmm. The weapon doesn't seem to lock on but is freewheeling. Is it that the bullets do not lock on and hit the boat for a kill? Didn't notice that but it would be a serious problem. I need to pay more attention.

OK, now I see what you mean after experimenting. My guess is that the missing of shots has to do with the Stability upgrades not being fully complete. But there is a workaround.

Try not zooming in at all. Leave the scope so only the crosshair appears and shoot bursts. All the bullets seem to hit then for some reason. Try it and see if you agree.

Looks like there was a minor patch last night as I had Full Screen this morning, usually only happens after Patches or Upgrades. Tried the 'open sight' and it worked requiring around 1/3 of a Mag. Also tried the zomm and it was about the same, noting that the weapon is at 80% it is showing its weakness already.

Know what you mean, I'm in two minds about this one now.

Sadly, this weak weapon nonsense has been going on for well over a year. Base defense has increased while weapons have remained static. I'm finding that skipping bases or applying resources is the option in PVP.

This assault weapon will be useful as an R32 weapon in Regions. I've already used it quite a bit. Better than just a wall-hanger, I guess.

And as usual these events are rigged to make the players pay though the nose, talk about unbalanced drops...
