3 Stage Event - Stranded - Scarab's Bite - Code of the West - 12/09/2022

Here we go again, another 3 stage event this time for a handgun, gearset and SM's.

Affinities for stage 1 - No Escape (basically piercing rounds), Marksman (+50 to headshots) and Hunter (+10% in PvP) so nothing spectacular but it is only stage 1 let's see how it goes through the stages, hopefully worth it but who knows GameLoft silent as ever.

Agreed. GL uses the FOMO tactic as their main interaction with players. Obviously, it is successful.

With the number of players using the "must use a handgun" defense, this MAY be a solution. But it may also be another boondoggle.

I'll play for the SMs even though they are not the greatest. I'm running a 7-day Deputy right from the beginning just to see what happens...never did a 7-day before this.

I ran one by accident and ended up still short of parts and using packs, although

Finished last chapter and tested on own base, if it gains crit hits it does do a noticeable amount of damage, not enough to take the base down but just maybe shows promise for the next stages, hopefully.

It's cost me 3 deputies in this stage alone so 1500 rubies and you can only get 8 hour ones, a few parts to carry over but not much and chips are (for me) the shortfall item this round.

Roll on stage 2!

And onto stage 2, 'Detectives Revolver', affinities No Escape (piercing rounds), Marksman (+75% headshot) and Hunter (+25% in PvP), so 2 of the affinities upped.

Still nothing to write home about

Stage 2 completed and weapon and gear struggle with a grey drone (no surprises there) and barely scratch a SM.

The headshot bonus along with the exotic weapon bonus is not to be disregarded. Can't wait to see what Stage 3 brings...lots of possibilities.

I'm hoping it's worth it as it's cost me 7 deputies already.

Seven 24-hour Deputies?! If so, WOW.

I ran the 7-day Deputy and ended Stage 2 with the parts below. I'm hoping that those parts and the ones earned along the way in Stage 3 are enough to complete the event without using Supreme Packs.

Unfortunately not 24 hour deputies, ran out of them and they don't seem to be available anywhere anymore.

7 x 8 hour deputies at 500 rubies per so 3,500 rubies so far, GameLoft have been thinking about how best to reduce hard worked for stocks to zero in the hope that real cash money will be spent, unfortunately they haven't done enough to deserve that so stalemate.

Stage 3 - Affinities No Escape (piercing rounds), Marksman (+100% headshot damage), Hunter (+50% in PvP) and added Symbiosis (reset gear ability on kill).

Still nothing remarkable but, as always, it's a wait and see event, hopefully it will have a great DPM figure and not just be another dust collector...

Well, the 7-day Deputy and two stages of earned Supreme Packs got me this far. Just 3 more upgrades to get the weapon. It should be able to be easily done.

The shame is the tremendous loss of parts once the event is over. But we know that.

I see mags are short for you too, I'm getting 2 upgrades per 8 hour deputy and still got a few to go.

Unfortunately, as usual, we don't know if it will be worth it till it's all over...

Although there are still two upgrades to go on the handgun, it was tried on my base with the Sleuthhound armor. The results were pitiful. Not a single SM scratched even after a barrage.

The headshot advantage is useless on shielded SMs because you have to get through the shield first. There are no drones on my base so it may do OK on them. Godlike or Sleeping Gas seem to be a necessity.

Another miss it seems.

Thanks for the Heads-Up guys, note that the weapon is already yours to keep and the only advantage in completing the event is getting the SM's.
