Wow. This event is getting expensive (relatively) for you. The 9-day Deputy has given enough weapon parts to finish the events. Just lucky.
Not sure if it is worth the cost and effort for the weapon. It will not be the top explosive weapon in my Arsenal by a long way. As you mentioned, Infravision and Symbiosis are nice perks and should make finishing Stage 3 more reasonable.

The fully upgraded Stage 3 picnic basket is actually the strongest explosive weapon with that particular affinity. Even though it is down the Armory list, the "damage per minute" is quite high. Nonetheless, it could only take out a yellow drone with several shots with the matching gear set before being defeated. My usual weapon with that affinity, Capitulum (the skull), can't even kill the yellow drone. So Picnic Basket it is!
The gear set actually has fairly impressive exotic explosive perks with a good head chosen, but getting a really strong weapon would be nice. Maybe next event.

Play in Stage 3 is quite easy. F key, kill one, F key, kill another one, F key, and so forth.
The challenge will be getting enough weapon parts to finish the event. The four 14* SMs will come in handy. The armor suit and Stage 3 weapon is already won.
