Right from the start this one does not look promising, we appear to have the wrong weapon again!

First the weapon at the start of the event shows as fully upgraded and does not appear to be rented! Testing and quality control up to the usual standards.

Attributes of Seek & Destroy and Frostbite, so-so as you don't always want your shots going to the closest target...

And as an explosive weapon splash range counts big time, this time it appears to be zero as I only managed to do any damage with direct hits, firing in front or behind a target does nada!

Yep, pretty bizarre. Have to make a direct hit on the target as you stated.

How about the upgrade requirements. 7-7-8-7-9 per upgrade. Insane how many packs will have to be opened. It is no longer fully upgraded.

Plus, level 2 is already open. Interesting.

Even more, a pop-up showing Vixen as the weapon rather than Null & Void just came up.

However, it is Monday and these events usually come on Tuesday so a guess would be that it slipped out of factory unfinished. (I hope.)

Seems we're seeing two different things!

Level 2 is still locked here.

The weapon 'should' be the 'Vixen' but at the moment is the 'Null & Void', and it's showing as fully upgraded so I can't even see upgrade requirements...

But as I said, the usual quality of release from GameLoft.

On top of it all is that in actual game play, Null & Void is the weapon in the combat rather than Viper. Likely, it will be cleaned up by tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day...

I wouldn't do any upgrades at the moment, you might end up loosing them.

As far as the upgrade are concerned, it appears that a partial upgrade has already happened. In the screenshot above, the scope is on Level 3 - but I have not done any upgrades at all. The ammo portion is fully upgraded!?

Correct weapon and not upgraded at all now, 24 parts required for the very first upgrade (looks like we're back to shortage of cores too) to level 2 isn't at all promising!

Weapon is rapid rate of fire, another shield pounder (100% extra on kinetic & plasma no mention of the new shield types not surprisingly) with increased (50%) PvP damage, extra attributes not impressive at all (extra gold & cash 60%), full auto and not too bad reload time, but with that mag size even fully upgraded you'll be emptying mags/reloading every 2 seconds all over the place.

Chapter 2 is open, and the first demand for an upgrade, no surprise there, but the upgrade requirements are going to get painful...

So whilst waiting for Chapter 5 to open, weapons scatter pattern is really bad, think barn door and how lucky you would be to hit it, this matters as what should be hits end up as misses so lower the weapons actual damage.

I've only been upgrading as required, and that's once per chapter so far, if it keeps going then the last chapter should have an extra upgrade required on the very last mission.

Level 3 -> 4 requirements below;

Yes, that spread pattern and the lack of explosive area damage is frustrating.

Best hope is that more stability, more scope magnification, and (slightly) greater total damage will make this weapon more useful.

So Chapter 10 completed and equipped it to Crystal Armour gear, still a few upgrades to go after the standard 4-4-4-3 requirements to complete the event), did one over the required and at 325m damage and 33.5b damage per minute barely scratched a low end 10/11* base including the 40% exotic boost +50% crit hit chance of the gear and using slo-mo's.

End result POS AGAIN!

I think it's time Gameloft rethunk their strategy with weapons/bases/game 'balance, and realised that you work hard and grind to increase your level, not only your base defences should go up, so should your weapon stats.

Would this be fair? I think so as a level 10 player should not be able to get a weapons that can take out a high end 11* base, that's not balanced.

Anyway another doorstop in the gun cupboard!

Have to agree, got it up to 80% and it is a POS. Unless there is a major after event upgrade this one is yet another dust gatherer

Had hoped GameLoft may have opened up the Forge to let us use the leftover parts (now they have something we could actually use them in), but that would have been fair to the players I suppose, imagine hoping for that!!!

Oh well, another event, another POS, roll on the next one and they could just be honest about it from the start and call it 'The Dustcatcher'.

GL are up to their old tricks again, I have had little trouble getting Cores during the event, that is up until now. I have opened 9 SP's this morning and not one core amongst the 27 parts. Looks like on this drop rate I will have about 38 Packs of parts (104 parts) and still not be able to do an upgrade.
