How does this new "Shard Event" have relevancy? It appears to be free, time-limited, and introduces a new currency as rewards for tasks that most players routinely perform.
In looking at the payout for the two chests that can be purchased with "shards", they appear to contain relatively worthless items. What's up?

Shard Event
Worth a look as it has milestone awards and boxes to open, actually quite a lot of achievements although the award for each is quite small, so will take a bit of collecting.
It's good to see something for the players for a change.

Turns out I wasn't just old and grumpy - I was right to be pissed right off!

Re: Shard Event
Anything for free from GL cannot be all bad, we wait and see. The first 1000 chest gives a 13* squadie.
Re: Shard Event
After looking more closely at the event, I will change my opinion. Free is always good (at least at GL). There are some decent rewards tucked away.

Lokks like they have Naffed it, timer reducing but no goals registering
Re: Shard Event
On Discord, the explanation is that the original timer expired and the earning event portion is over. The extra time added is only for those that have not cashed in their Shards to open chests.Corporal Kiwi wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 4:07 am Lokks like they have Naffed it, timer reducing but no goals registering
After the current (secondary) timer runs out, the event will disappear along with all the Shards that are not cashed in.
No news on the future of Shard events.
